Gift Guide: Retro Edition
Did you know today is "Giving Tuesday?" Or something like that? Like...there was Black Friday and Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Fuck Sunday, I guess. And then it's like, as an afterthought someone was like, "Tis the holidays! We should be good people and give back!" Now that we've spent all our money gorging on Walmart capitalism, let's make ourselves feel better by "giving back," or some shit. Or at least posting something on Instagram about how it's good to give. What a crock of shit. (To whom are we giving back? What are we giving back? Didn't we practice gratitude last week by stuffing our faces? Who even has money left? Can I just change my Facebook profile picture with a flag or something and call it helping?)
OK I sound cranky and I am not cranky at all. Buuuuuuuuuuut I feel kind of bad because Jen and I don't have a real post for you today. Her computer's been breaking down, and I wasn't able to work on my post last night due to the fact that I've been setting up my new (Black Friday-purchased) Macbook, and let's just put it this way -- I'm no Apple genius (commence Day 3 of setup). And today is out because, welp, work has been crazy today, so I figured why not repurpose last year's Gift Guides to help you GIVE your asses off this Giving Tuesday?
On this Giving Tuesday I give you more ways to stimulate the economy:
For the cheap shlub who can't be bothered to leave the house (i.e., the Staycationer in your life).
For the person in your life who travels to eat, the Foodie (i.e., me and/or Jen).
For the person in your life who actually journals instead of just tweets (i.e., the Chronicler).
For the person in your life who is always on the go (i.e., the Jetsetter).
Sooo looking back a year those gifts are actually pretty sweet. Feel free to buy any of these for me. Or even better, stay tuned to see what gifts we have in store for you this year (and buy those for me too)!
