Best Of: Staci's 2015 Picks
Like a good travel blogger, Jen's favorite posts of 2015 were based on...well...travel. Me? I'm constantly looking at analytics, trying to figure out what makes you guys laugh. Sick tickets that you are, the posts you tend to enjoy the most are the ones featuring stories about terrible things that happen to us (I knew I liked you...). So, in the name of self-validation in the form of unique visitor hits, retweets, and Facebook likes, here are my favorite picks for 2015.
CHEERS! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, HTJL (MAY 14, 2015)!
Alright, this one is an outlier; it's not some funny story about falling off a bike or nearly getting detailed in Scotland, but holy shit guys, Jen and I hit our one-year anniversary in May, and now our two-year is right around the corner! Jen put together a sweet video montage that makes me laugh every time I watch it. You can't tell me you've seen that sucker and still don't want to travel with us (or at least love up on our blog).
EN ROUTE: FLYING THE NOT-SO-FRIENDLY SKIES (OCT. 27, 2015)
Frankly, I'm not so sure we'd have nearly as much to write about if it weren't for the massive shortcomings of our domestic travel accommodations. But an onion sandwich? That takes the fucking cake. You also appreciated the terrible tale of our return this year from Madrid aboard United Airlines, complete with broken seats, raging flight attendants, and yes...onion sandwiches.
ALL OVER: WORST OF (JULY 21, 2015)
Something else that makes me laugh every time? Bob Costas's Sochi eye from the Olympics. Seriously, I should replace my seasonal depression lamp with a life-size cardboard cutout of Bob Costas with Sochi eye because few things in this world are funnier. You might be shocked to hear this made me not really ever want to go to Sochi. In case you missed it, check out this list of other places I never want to visit (one of my better pieces of writing if I do say so myself...#haterade).
BEST OF: THRILL RIDES (JUNE 23, 2015)
Somehow I still love thrill rides even though Gary Sinise somehow singlehandedly gave me motion sickness for an entire week-long vacation to Disney World. (OK, so maybe Gary was just an accomplice and it had a little more to do with that special Disney "magic.") You guys enjoyed that story as well as a rundown of my favorite thrill rides.

Uh, this one's a real fucking gem and rather indicative of the 2015 I've had. So Carly once told me that in feng shui, there's a corner of your room that is dedicated to love. One morning not too long ago, I woke up to the discovery that one of my cats had vomited in my love corner. Touche, cats. Touche. And if there was ever a post that encapsulates everything that is the symbolism of cat puke in your love corner, it's this one.
