The Playlist: Study Abroad in Florence

WELL. I had myself some times in New York this weekend. More on that (and everything I ate) when I'm not on Day 2 of a wicked hangover.

As you know, Jen and I ran my first 10K with Cammy and Stephanie, and I didn't die on Harlem Hill --  a win in my book.

Sweet, sweet victory with my buds.

Sweet, sweet victory with my buds.

So the night before the race, we got to talking about what's on our running playlists, and Cammy mentioned that in college, people made fun of her for working out to the Postal Service, but she's brought them back and feels like they work pretty well for running. This reminded me of the mix tapes (on CD!) Cammy made me before I went for my semester abroad in Florence. They were full of the Postal Service and some other gems.

Has David ever before been serenaded with "The King of Wishful Thinking?"

Has David ever before been serenaded with "The King of Wishful Thinking?"

I listened to them ALL the time on buses, trains, and planes around Europe. I also listened to Maroon 5's "Songs About Jane" on constant loop (so that whole album is on this playlist), as well as some other super random songs. Also, for some reason, my roommates and I were obsessed with Go West's "King of Wishful Thinking," and I sang it a capella at every major sight we saw.

Since I listened to these songs SO much, hearing them really takes me back. I checked my iTunes, and sure enough, when I searched "Cammy," my Cammy mixes came up, so I compiled all the songs, added the non-Cammy songs that marked my time in Italy, and made you a random yet bomb-ass playlist.

Salute!
