New York: Queen Bey
Staci may still be on her runner's high (26.2 miles...WHAT?!?!?!), but I'm still on the drug known as Beyoncé. On Friday night my friend Jeff took me to the best concert I've ever been to in my life (and I've seen Mariah, Britney and been to the VMAs). We even braved 3+ hours of New Jersey Transit for it without blinking an eye.
In what can only be described as fate, Beyoncé cancelled her Formation World Tour date at the Jersey Meadowlands back in September, which meant that we could now score tickets for her rescheduled date in October! A date which happened to be her very last show on the tour. To break it down for you: New York + last show = star-studded five-hour experience like no other.
When DJ Khaled (her opener) said that we'd make history that night, he wasn't kidding. The opening act alone featured Fetty Wap, T.I., DMX, Remy Ma, The Lox, and Mase. It was essentially my middle school dreams come true.
Then came the main event: Yonce, herself. Pyrotechnics? Check. Choreography in water? Check. Sparks shooting out of her eyes? MOTHER FUCKING CHECK. Her voice was, for lack of a better word, flawless. If there's such a thing as sounding better than the recorded track, this was it...in heels...while dancing. #BowDown
If you're worried that the guest stars were only in the opening act, fear not. Serena Williams popped out of the floor on a throne. Yes, a throne. Hova joined for "Drunk in Love" and Kendrick Lamar(!!!) joined for an incredibly powerful version of "Freedom."
Needless to say, my pictures can't do this show justice, but I'll try anyway. Check them out while listening to the playlist featuring all the guests of the night and, of course, Queen Bey herself (although Lemonade STILL isn't on Spotify).

p.s. I hate to admit it, but I was always just a casual fan of Beyonce and balked at the idea of $100 tickets for last row seats. I am an idiot. If you are ever lucky enough to get a ticket to one of her shows, DO IT IMMEDIATELY.
