NYC: Surprise At The Empire State Building
This past Friday, my little brother (who I admit is a fully grown adult) got engaged to an amazing woman whom I'm excited to call my future sister! Apparently, the two have a shared fondness for the Empire State Building (though they live in D.C.) and so, like any good rom com, my brother proposed at the top around midnight. It was a magical evening filled with delicious food and birthday surprises (thanks to Park Avenue Summer) and of course, lots of love.
Mike and I had never been to the top before, so it was the perfect opportunity to tag along, get some great snaps, and take in the views (as well as the lines and annoying tourists -- seriously, if you can't go there on a 110 degree day at 12:30 a.m., when CAN you go?!)
The following day, my brother and his fiancé (ahhh, so crazy!) joined me and Mike in Brooklyn for what was going to be a day of walking and shopping but turned into a day of eating and drinking. With temperatures reaching 108, there were really no other options. We hit up a few local breweries, a game place Boca bubbies would love, and some delicious restaurants (of course).
I hope that the happy couple had as much fun as I did!
