The Playlist: Autumn 2016 Travel

A lovely run fueled by 0% humidity and a shit-eating sense of smugness.

Welp. The crisp feel of autumn is officially in the air. I have mixed feelings about this, of course. On the one hand, a part of me reluctantly relates HARD to Mr. Autumn Man, and running has become so much more manageable when I don't feel like I'm trudging through swampy Baltimore, which feels more like running through pea soup than air. Yesterday's run was actually enjoyable.

On the other hand, fall means winter is around the corner and with it, long months of mind-numbing gray winter days of seasonal affective disorder. I should really move to the Caribbean.

But for now, I'll revel in the world of basic bitches with their pumpkin spice lattes and their apple-picking adventures and try to appreciate the colors of the fall foliage and try to ignore the increasingly shorter days and chillier temps.

On the plus side, I have a trip to Chicago to look forward to for the Chicago marathon (it's not too late to donate!), and of course, i'll get to see Jen when Thanksgiving rolls around.

If you're like me and you have some fall travel planned, then you probably need some tunes to listen to while you're aboard the planes, trains, and automobiles. I made a pretty damn good playlist for exactly this purpose. Nearly as effective at lifting moods as a SAD lamp.

Happy listening!
