The Packing List: Memorial Day Weekend 2017
Sadly, my Memorial Day tradition of partying on my friend Nick's boat is no longer an option because he, his fiancé, and their boat moved across the country. :(
That doesn't mean I won't be celebrating the long weekend. In fact, I have plans to check out the new ferry beach service and head to the Rockaways! I'm also going to stop by the new art installation in Brooklyn Bridge Park, pop into Industry City, and of course, relax in Prospect Park.
Here's what I'll be donning on my beach day:
1. Wide Brim Panama Hat, Sole Society $29.95
Always good for sun blockage, crazy beach hair, and random inclement weather we seem to be having a lot of this spring.
2. Swimsuit, H&M $49.99
Classic style and perfect for sitting on the beach or dancing post beach.
3. Pleated Dress, H&M $9.99
I love this cover up from H&M. It's a little fancier than your average coverup because of the pleats, and the color is super fresh and springy. It's a great piece to go from beach to bar.
4. Denim Jacket, H&M $39.99
Just in case it gets a little chilly.
5. Soludos Frayed Mule, Nordstrom $54.95
Great summer style for beach or beer garden. Easy to slip in and out of instead of my usual strappy sandal mess.
6. Multi-Colored Pom Pom Earrings, Zara $15.90
Cute and festive for post-beach shenanigans.
