New York: Staycation Labor Day Edition

Over the weekend I began my two-week staycation with a delightful, friend-filled BBQ. Oh, you're not enjoying two weeks of relaxation with your work phone turned off?

Astoria may not seem far to some New Yorkers (it is, after all, in Queens), but for me, it's an hour-and-a-half journey. There's just no good way to get from south Brooklyn to north Queens, unfortunately. That didn't stop me and my fellow Park Slopers from taking the trip up to one of Bourdain's favorite boroughs. 

We were rewarded with a delicious assortment of grilled delicacies (both veggie and non), mini cheesecakes, and tons of wine. Take a look at my Labor Day in Queens!
