GIFT GUIDE: VALENTINE'S DAY 2018
If you're searching for gifts for your special someone who's into travel, look no further! Whether it's staying fresh on the road, getting beauty sleep on a long-haul flight, or having a styling bag for city-hopping, we've got you covered!
Well. Jen has you covered. I (Staci) am no fan of Valentine's Day. Never have been, never will be. The day after though? When all the chocolate is discounted? Yes. Nevertheless, Jen picked out some goodies for you to get your lady and/or your galentine, and I am here to tell you about them.
- Well Worth the Tassel Crossbody Bag, $34.99 ModCloth
TBH, this is very cute AND slightly on sale. It reminds me of a little red change purse my Grandma gave me as a kid that I wish I'd kept because now I think it would probably be very stylish. I kind of resent that Valentine's Day has a monopoly on red, but whatever, you can carry this baby all year round. - I Came, I Spa Sheet Mask Set in Multi, $25.00 ModCloth
Who doesn't feel beautiful for date night after sitting around with a sheet mask on your face looking like Jason? (No, seriously though, they're funny, but I love a sheet mask.) - Besame Cosmetics Brightening Vanilla Rose Powder, $25 ModCloth
This is the most romantic packaging for matte powder I've ever seen. - Crimson Heart Umbrella, $32 UncommonGoods
OK, I love UncommonGoods for their, well, uncommon goods, but this is honestly the most twee shit I've ever seen. - 'Slipsilk™' Pure Silk Sleep Mask, $45 Nordstrom
This is frankly over-priced but it looks fucking delightful. - Crème Pogonotomienne Shaving Cream, $44 Mr Porter
Alright, this item is for ya dude, and it is definitely overpriced, but I read the description, and there's "sweet almond oil" involved, and I do love the fragrance of sweet almond oil. - Hot Stuff Camper Mug, $5.99 Target
This is genuinely cute and punny. - iPad Case with Wake and Sleep Feature, $11.99 Target
I know Jen picked this because it is pink and useful, and she has no idea that I am on a fucking TEAR right now about iPads. When they came out a few years ago, I really wanted one. Oddly enough, I wanted it as an e-reader, but whatever. I put it on my wish list for Hanukkah and my birthday year after year to no avail. This year I finally gave up on my dreams of someone buying it for me (since I really can't justify buying it for myself). And you know what? EVERYONE AND THEIR BROTHER HAS ONE. Including small children in my family AND my mother, who up until a couple years ago, refused to upgrade to a smartphone with a full keyboard since she didn't "want to learn how to text anyway."
Anyway, I guess all that is neither here nor there. Like I said, pink and useful, that's cool. I don't resent V-Day for having a monopoly on the color pink. Keep it.
Happy Valentine's Day!
