The Beach: Rehoboth Creative Night Market

After staying at my parents’ Delaware beach house for a lot of last summer and seeing tons of businesses shutter due to the pandemic, I’m excited to see that Rehoboth is starting to come back to life.

In the past few years, new microbreweries, bike lanes, and farmers markets have popped up around this once sleepy beach town, so it was only a matter of time before a Creative Night Market opened up, and I could not have been more exited.

The small lot across from Revelation Brewery hosts a weekly arts, food, and music festival on Monday nights for locals and vacationers alike sponsored by the Developing Arts Collaboration/Dirty Hands in west Rehoboth.

It took us about 5 minutes to walk from our house to the festival and about another 5 minutes before I bought two new art pieces. Seeing a vibrant art community and supporting it makes me so happy. On one end of the market was a magician, the other end featured a live musician and in the middle was a very delicious summer cocktail bar. All of the artisans were lovely and all of their pieces were well priced and would work well in tons of homes around town. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out the market on Monday nights!
