The Playlist: Oh, Canada!

While I’m looking forward to our Canadian Rockies trip this month, I am decidedly not looking forward to spending six hours on a plane. I’m never able to sleep and I start getting restless after hour two. I can tolerate one movie, one book, and 500 trips to the bathroom. Beyond that, I’m at a loss. So how can I keep myself excited while traveling? Music! A good themed playlist is the perfect mood booster for any journey.

When Staci and I went to Quebec, I listened to a playlist filled with Canadian indie music icons like Metric, Arcade Fire, the New Pornographers, Feist, Stars, Barenaked Ladies, Tokyo Police Club, Islands, Hot Hot Heat, the Stills, and Rufus Wainwright.

This time around, I’ll be channeling pop stars like The Weeknd, Carly Rae Jepsen, the Beebs, Drake, Alessia Cara, and Shawn Mendes.
