Gift Guide: The Fashionista

So you know how fashion bloggers always look totally flawless while traveling the world? Like someone is taking "candid" shots of them and they just look so effortless and immaculate? LOL that's not us. We're all shvitzy foreheads and nappy post-plane bangs, undereye circles screaming for caffeine and wrinkled clothes. GUESS IT'S A GOOD THING WE DON'T HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHER FOLLOWING US AROUND. I mean, maybe if we were being paid to travel and wear clothes, we'd look a little better. But in the meantime, it is what it is.

That said, we still like looking nice. Smearing on some lipstick for a night in a jazz club or throwing on some cute shades for a walk through a park. We may not be paid to be traveling fashionistas, but you bet your ass we still like feeling like we are. And if your friends feel the same way, here's what you can buy them this holiday season.

1. "I Haven’t Been Everywhere But It’s On My List” Bracelet, Jet Set Candy $248

And we DO love lists. Wearing this Susan Sontag quote around your wrist is a good way to remember to work to live, not live to work. (Check out the other travel-loving quotes at Jet Set Candy!)

2. Custom State Necklaces, Uncommon Goods $180

State necklaces are all the rage these days (sorry if your state is shaped like a penis), but these are extra special for remembering your hometown because you can get a diamond placed in the spot where your hometown is inside of your home state. So even if you've traveled far from home, it still has a special place next to your heart.

3. New York Postcard Pin, Valley Cruise Press $10

Frankly, I am not sure how to spin this. Jen, who is truly more fashionable than myself picked these gifts out, and I, Staci, tend to dress like I am going to funerals on the reg, so I just don't know how one would wear a postcard pin, but you know, it's cool. Maybe you can use it to decorate your desk, the way I have a taco pin on my cube wall instead of my lapel.

4. Wanderlust iPhone Case, Society6 $35

Now, this I can get behind. Let's face it -- cellphones have more or less become appendages, and if the person on your gift list is a fashionista, well, she's probably accessorizing all of her other appendages, so why not her phone? This case is super colorful and cute; it would really pop against my all-black outfits. (Not that you're buying for me. Unless you are. In which case THANKS SO MUCH.)

5. Theme and Shout Necklace and Earring Set, ModCloth $24.99

Solid price point here! Five sets of earrings and two charm necklaces, all travel-themed and all teeny tiny! Love it.

6. Luggage Tag Charm (comes in various places), Jet Set Candy $68

The fashionista in your life probably wants her luggage to look just as fab as she does, but let's face it, TSA is probably wrecking that shit. So instead, she can dress herself like a piece of luggage with this luggage tag style charm.

Traveling fashionista? Check her off your list.
