Watch Before You Go: New Streaming Travel Shows

This weekend may have had significant signs of global warming delightful spring weather, but I spent a full day inside catching up on Netflix and watching the brand new season of Planet Earth!

While perusing my queue, I noticed a whole new (to me) slew of travel-related shows on Netflix and Amazon. I can't vouch for them just yet, but I'm excited to check them out and get some travel-related inspo!

Girl Eat World

After winning South Africa's Master Chef, Kamini Pather went on a journey to discover the beset food around the world with the help of fellow food bloggers. Basically, this is our dream come true. 

Kamini Pather is ready to bring you her first cooking show. It's called Girl Eat World and it debuts on Food Network on Friday 15 May. Check out this promo and be sure to listen/ visit http://cliffcentral.com to hear what the star has to say about the show.

I'll Have What Phil's Having

If you ever wished that your dad has some famous friends and made a travel show about food, then you're gonna love this hour-long PBS show. Each show Phil sets out on new adventures that include visits to artisans, markets, vineyards and farmers. Guests include Allison Janney and Martin Short. (And Staci vouches for this one too.)

Rock The Park

You may have seen this back in 2014 when it aired on ABC, but if not, check it out now! It's a seriously beautiful look into America's national parks -- something I may or may not be obsessed with. Every time I travel to one, I'm reminded that all of this really is in our own backyard. We have to treasure them more!

ROCK THE PARK taps into America's love affair with our national parks. Our hosts, Jack Steward and Colton Smith, come face to face with nature and some of the most awe-inspiring places on earth. The series will inspire Americans to get on the road and remind viewers that the national parks are one of America's greatest national gifts to the world.

Long Way Round & Long Way Down

If you, like me, were obsessed with Ewan McGregor after watching Moulin Rouge, then you're probably already familiar with his travel shows, Long Way Round & Long Way Down. Even if you've already seen his motorcycle journeys from London to Eurasia and Scotland to Africa, it's worth another viewing. The epic road trips are a fascinating look at different cultures and motorbikes alike.

Two guys take a trip of several months on motorcycles. They travel from the North of Scotland, down through Europe, into Africa, finally winding up in Cape Town, South Africa.

Expedition Unknown

Follow host Josh Gates as he searches for answers to legendary mysteries like lost cities and buried treasure. He's a real-life Indiana Jones with a degree in archaeology and a thirst for action. Gates chats with local historians one minute and is army-crawling through a cave the next. It's pretty riveting stuff.

Join adventurer Josh Gates as he investigates iconic mysteries around the world. Season 2 premieres on October 7th at 9|8c on Travel Channel.

Terrace House

The premise may sound like the Japanese version of the Real World but it's so so much more than that. It's really a fascinating study on Japanese culture.
