Watch Before You Go: Go Eagles!
I can't say that I feel the least bit sorry for Tom Brady and his team of cheaters on their loss this past Sunday.
To celebrate the Eagles' amazing victory, I've compiled a list of great Philadelphia sports movies to keep the party going (and inspire any future trips to the City of Brotherly Love).
Rocky
You really can't make a list of Philly movies without including this classic. While the fourth movie might be my favorite (can't beat that training montage!), there's nothing quite like the original.
Silver Linings Playbook
Though technically a story about mental illness and relationships, its also very much about the Eagles and dance competitions.
Creed
I don't consider Creed one of the Rocky sequels because it really stands on its own as a triumph. Michael B. Jordan is so freakin' charismatic and there's just the right amount of Stallone in it (meaning, not much).
Plus, this soundtrack always gets me pumped for a good workout.
Pride
This biopic set in the '70s features Bernie Mac and Terrence Howard coaching a bunch of novice swimmers to state championships while fighting racism and classism all around Philly.
Best In Show
Definitely my favorite mockumentary about dog shows. If you found yourself watching the Puppy Bowl instead of the big game, this one's for you.
Congrats Eagles!
