North Carolina: Hiking in the Smoky Mountains

I hadn’t had a chance to go hiking too much this year, so I was excited to spend some time in nature. I was especially stoked to visit a national park that I haven’t had the chance to see before.

While the Smokies range from Tennessee to North Carolina, we only planned to spend time on the NC side.

Here are a couple of routes and hikes that we planned for while we’re there:

Most exciting for me was learning more about North Carolinian Indigenous culture in Cherokee and seeing some of the major vistas.
