The Packing List: Liquid-Free Essentials
Last week we tackled some pretty nifty packing hacks. This week, we've moved onto bigger and better things: beauty. A long flight can be stressful and wreak havoc on your daily regimen.

Normally, I'd say cleanse your face, throw on some moisturizer and spritz some perfume. Unfortunately, the TSA hates beauty products (or you know, general liquids over 3 oz). Don't let the terrorists win! Get your beauty on with these liquid-free products that can make you feel like you just came from the spa instead of a 10-hour flight with dry air and germs.
Towelettes
I've mentioned these before so you know they must be legit. These worked our really well for us on last year's U.K. trip. Besides being useful on the plane to wipe down the seat and tray table, they came in handy during the trip itself. We used them before meals and during tours instead of hand sanitizer. They're more convenient to carry around, and they smell great!

Makeup Remover
I'm on the fence about removing makeup during a flight. After all you never know who you're going to be seated next to. I'm also lazy and don't want to reapply everything upon landing. But, according to everyone and their mother, the "right" thing to do for you skin, especially during overnight flights, is to completely clean your face. These wipes will clean and moisturize so you can wake up with refreshed skin. Cetaphil is my preferred facial cleanser, so I trust that the makeup removers will be top notch.

Cleansing Stick
I'll be honest, I've never tried a cleansing stick before, but this one came so highly recommended that I had to put it on the list. Supposedly you just rinse your face and massage this in, and it "works wonders." I just purchased one so we shall see...

Skyn Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels
Eye gels are perfect for anyone who, like me, can't fall asleep on planes. I don't know why I have this problem, but I've never been able to sleep more than an hour or so on a flight, even overnight ones. This is a problem because it means I look EXTRA haggard when I land. The eye gels are the perfect remedy to under-eye bags.

Condensed Towel
Unfortunately on this trip, Staci and I won't be flying first class. But that doesn't mean we can't pretend. These little towels puff up with just a few drops of warm water. Bonus -- they come in a reusable 2-oz jar so you can throw some liquids in it after you use all of the towels.

Oil Absorbing Sheets
There are a lot of skin products on this list, but that's because planes hate skin. That's just a fact. You disembark either overly dry or an oily mess. If you're in the latter camp, these are essential.

Dry Volumizing Shampoo
It doesn't matter what I do with my hair before boarding, by the time I'm off the plane, it's deflated and greasy. I'm a huge fan of the BigSexyHair products (specifically their root-lifting sprays) and have a feeling that their dry shampoo will deliver.

Solid Perfume
I usually pack a perfume roller since it saves space in my liquids bag, but this is an even better solution. There aren't too many solid perfumes on the market, and this one has pretty stellar reviews. I'm looking forward to trying it!

There's no substitute for toothpaste, but sometimes there's just not an opportunity to brush. Before leaving the plane, pop one of these to at least feel fresh before checking into wherever you're staying.
Want to avoid puffiness and bloating? Stay away from salt, coffee, and alcohol in-flight. To stay hydrated, I try to drink one bottle before the flight and one during. Your skin will thank you later.
Before deplaning, I recommend swiping on some fabulous shade of red lipstick and giant sunglasses. It'll make you look more put together than you feel.
