NYC: The Whitney Museum of American Art

NYC

As Jen noted yesterday, the weather in New York this weekend was unpredictable to say the least. However, the weather man consensus seemed to be that Saturday would be shit. So Jen, doing what Jen does best, put on her planner hat and suggested we spend some time Saturday afternoon before dinner at the Whitney in the Meatpacking District with my friend Sabrina.

The Whitney features American art from the 20th and 21st centuries...so it's a thoroughly modern, thoroughly eclectic mix. Further, we caught the very beginning of the Whitney Biennial, which specifically features newer, lesser known artists.

Unsurprisingly, I very much loved the anti-Trump artwork on display. Equally unsurprisingly, I very much disliked the work featuring walls covered in a grid of sweating slices of bologna.

Take a look!
