Best Of: Travel Instagrams

As a masochist, there's nothing I like more than scrolling through Instagram, giving myself FOMO over all the places I want to visit. And to be honest, I follow an ABSURD number of people on Instagram, both famous and otherwise. It's where I get so much of my inspiration, be it of the travel, food, feminism, fashion, art, or cats variety.

In fact, while I've had the travel bug for most of my life, I think it was a few Paris-centric Instagram accounts that finally pushed me into asking Jen if she wanted to go to Paris with me, thus creating the inspiration behind this here blog.

So today I share my favorite Instagram travel accounts with you. Of course there are the obvious hotel/travel magazine/travel photography accounts that you can follow, but I'm giving you some of the less obvious ones, which tend to be my favorites...and the ones I stalk mercilessly.

TROP ROUGE

Like most of the following 'grammers, I have no idea how I came across Christina Caradona's Trop Rouge, but I LOVE her, her IG, and her blog. (She has a Tumblr too and occasionally Snapchats.) She probably considers herself a fashion blogger rather than a travel 'grammer, but when she's not traveling, she splits her time between New York City and Paris -- my two favorite cities. Her style is flawless, her sense of humor is amazing, and her #troptravels photos make me want to retire and live a life of leisure. Obvi, I have a girl crush, and I am pretty sure finding her Instagram led me to some of the other accounts to follow.

GARY PEPPER GIRL

Hailing from Australia, Nicole Warne is truly living the dream with her travel/lifestyle/fashion site, Gary Pepper Girl. The photos on her Insta turn me into a real-life heart eyes emoji and motivate me to MAKE ALL THE MONEY just so I can basically structure my life around going to the places Nicole has gone.

PARIS IN FOUR MONTHS

As previously mentioned (over and over and over again), I LOVE PARIS. And so I love Carin Olsson's Paris in Four Months. Originally from Stockholm, Olsson quit her job and visited Paris for a few months to learn French. There, she discovered her love for photography, and when she returned to Sweden, she decided Paris was a better fit. So she moved to Paris permanently and began a travel photography career that begat her amazing Instagram account. #lifegoals

HANNAH BRONFMAN

There are like...parts of NYU named after Hannah Bronfman's family so yeah, she lives the life. She runs her own startup(s), she's a DJ, she models...girl does it all. Not only do I love her Instagram account for all the travel photos, I love her focus on fitness. In fact, her lifestyle website is primarily devoted to wellness and fitness.

BILL ADDISON

Also well documented here is our love of food, so of course Bill Addison's Instagram account is one of my favorites. Addison is Eater's restaurant editor and food critic, and he literally spends his time traveling around the country eating at different restaurants. Dream job, amirite? So no surprise, his food pics are amazing, and of course I thoroughly enjoy his work over at Eater.

RENEE LIBBY BECK

That's right, shout-out to my Baltimore people! I found Renee through her writing and followed her on Instagram. A few years ago when she asked for tips on a couple cities in Europe that I had been to, I dropped her an e-mail and we struck up an internet friendship. Like me, she loves travel, food, writing, running, feminism, and cats! Seriously, what is not to love? ;)

ANTHONY BOURDAIN

Is this one too obvious? OH WELL, I DON'T CARE. My love for Bourdain knows no bounds, and of course that extends to his Instagram. Chef, foodie, traveler, TV host, writer, all around badass, his Instagram kicks ass.
